ABOUT
Hi I'm Celestia Zhang, or you can me Yuxing.
I am an interaction designer with a background in Digital Media Art, working at the intersection of human-computer interaction, physical systems, and intelligent technologies. My work explores how interaction design can move beyond visual interfaces to engage with sensing, control, and system behaviour in real-world contexts.
I am particularly interested in how human-centred interaction principles operate under technical constraints—such as latency, reliability, and perception accuracy—and how design decisions directly affect system safety, usability, and trust. Through projects involving physical computing, VR experiences, and human-machine interfaces, I have learned to approach interaction not only as an experiential problem, but as a system-level challenge grounded in engineering logic.
This portfolio presents my explorations across interaction design, human–robot interaction, and computational prototyping. It reflects how I translate conceptual ideas into structured, testable systems, question assumptions about “intuitive” design, and develop interactions that are precise, responsible, and deployable.
